Sri. K. Harishchandra Prasad is a Graduate in B.Tech (Chemical Technology) from Madras University, Chennai, MS (Chemical Engineering) from Washington University, St. Louis, USA and also MBA (Special Emphasis on Finance) from ST. Louis University, ST. Louis USA. He is also a Director in several other Public /Private Companies like M/s KLN Holdings (P) Ltd; M/s Kapil Motors Pvt ltd; and M/s Andhra Printers Ltd and also as Independent Director of listed Companies, i.e.; M/s Surya Lata Spinning Mills ltd and M/s BNR Securities Ltd. Earlier, he served as a Director on the Board of APSFC., M/s Green Park Hotels and Resorts Ltd and M/s Keerthi Industries Ltd among other Companies. He has been the Managing Director of the Company since May 11th 1985 and prior to this period, he worked as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer/Manager at Allied Corporation and Industrial Electro Plating Labs, at Chicago.

Earlier, he served as President of FAPCCI (Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry during the year 2009-10 and as President of HMA (Hyderabad Management Association) during the year 2017-18.

He also served as General Secretary of Vignan Jyothi (Educational Institutions) during the period 2018 to 2021 and presently as Vice President of Vignan Jyothi.

Dr. D.N.Rao, aged 76 years, resident of Hyderabad, was appointed as an Independent Director of the Company at the 100th AGM of the Company on 22.8.2024 for a 5 year period.

Dr. Rao is a Post Graduate in Electronic Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani and he was awarded Doctorate from Royal College of Science & Technology, University of Strathclyde, UK. He published original Research Papers in various International journals and participated in more than 20 International Seminars and Conferences. He has guided Ph. D research work entitled “Education Process Re-engineering-Metrics for Excellence and Indexing Excellence with Fuzzy Logics”. He is an active Member in many Trade Associations and holds three Patents jointly with VNRVJIET (Engineering College)

In the year 1978, he started his own design & manufacturing facilities by the name “Duke Arnics” which has grown into an ISO 9001-certified Technology Development Centre with full-fledged modern manufacturing facilities. Duke Arnics became a Pioneer and leader in India with global recognition in Electricity Metering Monitoring and Management System, which was later disinvested in favour of Havells Limited in the year 2003. In the same year, Dr. D.N.Rao founded X_Design Ventures, an innovation in Automotive Electronics, and is presently, its Chairman.

Dr.Rao is a mentor for many start ups and most recent among them is M/s. Magellan Life Sciences. Dr.Rao is one of the trustees of “Nuthakki Ramaseshaiah Memorial Trust” and actively participates in its activities to create infrastructure for schools located near deprived communities.

He is also a Member of the Audit Committee, NRSC and CSIR Committees and the Chairman of Risk Management Committee He is also serving as a Director at M/s Jayem Aerospace India Ltd.
